Full Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short city tour or simply relax at the hotel as you prepare for your safari adventure. Overnight stay in Nairobi on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast, set off for the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve, known for its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife. Arrive in time for lunch, followed by an afternoon game drive where you’ll encounter lions, elephants, giraffes, and perhaps even a cheetah on the hunt. Dinner and overnight at your safari lodge or camp.
Day 3: Exploring the Maasai Mara
Spend the day exploring the rolling plains of the Maasai Mara on morning and afternoon game drives. Witness the incredible diversity of wildlife that makes this reserve one of Africa’s top safari destinations. For a truly unforgettable experience, take an optional early morning hot air balloon ride over the Mara followed by a champagne breakfast. Day 4: Maasai Mara to Lake Naivasha
Depart the Mara after breakfast and drive to Lake Naivasha, a scenic freshwater lake set in the Great Rift Valley. After lunch, enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the lake where you can spot hippos and a variety of bird species. Visit Crescent Island Sanctuary for a guided walking safari among zebras, giraffes, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight at a lakeside lodge.
Day 5: Lake Naivasha to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, journey south to Amboseli National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Day 6: Amboseli to Nairobi and Flight to Zanzibar
Start the day with an early morning game drive before returning to the lodge for breakfast. Afterward, drive back to Nairobi for your scheduled flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your beachfront resort where you can unwind and enjoy the tranquil Indian Ocean breeze. Dinner and overnight at your resort.
Day 7: Stone Town and Spice Tour
Today you’ll explore Zanzibar’s rich culture and history. Begin with a guided tour of Stone Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its winding alleys, carved wooden doors, and bustling markets. Later, visit a spice plantation and learn why Zanzibar is called the “Spice Island.” Discover how cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, and other spices are cultivated before returning to your hotel to relax by the beach.
Day 8: Beach Relaxation in Zanzibar
Spend the day at leisure soaking up the sun on Zanzibar’s pristine beaches or enjoying optional activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving, or a dolphin-watching excursion. As the day winds down, you may choose to take a romantic sunset dhow cruise along the coast.
Day 9: Leisure Day in Zanzibar
Another day of relaxation awaits you. You might visit the northern beaches of Nungwi or Kendwa, indulge in a spa treatment, or explore the island’s local art and craft markets. In the evening, enjoy a candlelit dinner overlooking the ocean, celebrating the final night of your African adventure.
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, enjoy some free time before being transferred to Abeid Amani Karume International Airport for your onward flight. As you bid farewell to Zanzibar, you’ll carry with you lasting memories of Kenya’s wild beauty and the tranquil charm of the island’s shores.
